Jesus was born to a virgin. This is truly a miracle. With that being said, I am going to list actionable tips on how people of all walks of life can use this time of the year to reach out to non-believers and Christians who may have lost their faith, as well as reminding yourself about what Christmas really means.

Read your Bible

A few verses to read about the miraculous elements of Christmas are:

  • Isaiah 7:14 “Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and we will call him Immanuel”
  • Galatians 4:4-5 “But when the set time had fully come, God sent his son, born of a woman, born under law, to redeem those under the law, that we might receive adoption to sonship.”
  • Matthews 1:18-25 “Now the birth of Jesus Christ took place in this way. When his mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph, before they came together she was found to be with child from the Holy Spirit. And her husband Joseph, being a just man and unwilling to put her to shame, resolved to divorce her quietly. But as he considered these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not fear to take Mary as your wife, for that which is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. She will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.” All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had spoken by the prophet: “Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel.” When Joseph woke from sleep, he did as the angel of the Lord commanded him: he took his wife, but knew her not until she had given birth to a son. And he called his name Jesus.”

Share the Christmas Story

Talking to someone about Christ and Christmas can help them regain a faith they might have lost. It can also help give someone the spirit to believe.

Listen to Christmas Music

Listen to Christmas worship music, or even holiday songs that talks about the Christmas story:

  • “This I Believe (The Creed)” by Hillsong Worship This is one of my favorite worship songs. “I believe in the virgin birth” – this lyric talks about believing that Jesus was born of a virgin.
  • “Hark The Herald Angels Sing.” One of the lyrics I love about this song is “God and sinners reconciled.” This reminds me that God loves us all whether we are devout Christians or people who have lost their way.

Overall, the story of Christmas story tells us that Jesus was born of a virgin. Even still, look what wondrous things he did for us. He died so that we could live and eventually live an even better life in Heaven. Let the story of Christmas fill your hearts and remind you that God’s love is miraculous.
